YOUR WHY MATTERS

When you know your life’s purpose, it becomes easier to focus on what matters the most in your life.

By keeping that focus, you are able to find your direction and stay away from distractions.

When you embark on your new journey with Alovéa, one of the most powerful things you can do, right up front is to articulate your why and then revisit it regularly along your journey.  This will keep you focussed and guarantee your success – whatever that success means to you.

HERE IS MY WHY

I wrote this one month after I started as a Social Business Partner with Alovéa

I’ve worked in all types of businesses over the years ranging from corporate to small business, from nursing to sales to management, to general management positions.

Although it’s been a great journey, in retrospect, I realised that I’ve been constantly tired, stressed to the max and feeling like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders. I really didn’t “fit the mould of a regular employee, so I quit and started my own business.

And that has produced its own set of issues for me, as I don’t have a regular income and my debt has been an ever-increasing month on month.

And … to be honest, I haven’t been looking after myself for a long time, I’m overweight, have diabetes, I haven’t really loved the thought of exercise and I had quite a love affair with alcohol.

Then in early 2012, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer resulting in a double mastectomy.

Again, I thought I was bulletproof and didn’t really adjust my lifestyle and “boom” another bout of breast cancer in 2018.

It was then I realised that the 2 were most likely related.

It became clear to me that I need to make some changes in my work and my health. I realised that I didn’t need a new year or a new day to start over, I just needed a new mindset.

From Einstein’s point of view – I have been insane for a long time – I keep doing the same thing over and over and expect that things are going to get better. Well, I know what I am doing is just not working for me.  SO

HEALTH FIRST

I needed to evolve, as I realised my body needed more than just an adjustment to diet and lifestyle to undo the damage that I have done over the years and I certainly didn’t see the harm in feeding my body great nutritional products to help “supercharge” this journey to allow my body to heal itself.

I started that journey in mid-December, and I certainly didn’t expect a miracle, but I can say that I am feeling better as each day progresses.

THE BUSINESS NEXT

I could just continue what I am doing, but where has that got me?

I really needed to be courageous and honest with myself. I was not happy, I was lonely, and I am stressed as I never seem to have enough money and I am nowhere earning enough money to get rid of my current debt and move onto to a much wealthier and more flexible lifestyle.

I need something new, something exciting, somewhere where I could still run my own business but never feel I was alone. Where I could work with really good people, who genuinely want me to succeed and help me do that, so I can do that for others.

I want a purpose in life – to be the best I can be, be surrounded by a great team that through our combined efforts could make an impact not just for ourselves, but also others and the world – with the right product and for the right reasons.

So Alovéa became a “no brainer” for me
